Hi, I’m Marie, the heart behind MY Dedicated Virtual Assistant. I’m a single mom of two and proudly navigating life after experiencing one of its hardest chapters—losing my husband on January 18th, 2022. To say it was traumatic is an understatement. For a long time, I was simply going through the motions—taking care of my kids, working, and trying to hold everything together.

Everything began to shift when my father called me with a life-changing request:

“I want to build my second home on the land I have in Port Saint Lucie, Florida, and I want you to manage the build from beginning to end.”  Even though I was living in Massachusetts, I said yes—and successfully managed the entire project virtually. I stepped into the role of Project Manager and, without even realizing it at the time, did many of the tasks that virtual assistants handle every day: scheduling, coordinating with contractors, managing timelines and budgets, keeping detailed records, and staying on top of communication.

Wearing so many hats came naturally to me—and I loved it. That experience reminded me of my strengths and revealed a passion I hadn’t tapped into before.

Heading into 2025, I set a new goal: to take all of my skills, experience, and determination and use them to help others professionally. That’s how MY Dedicated Virtual Assistant came to life.
